Rana Younas is the owner of Apna Bazaar in Tampa. He is an American citizen, but was born in Punjab Pakistan and moved to Islamabad before coming to the United States in the 1970s. WMNF asked Younas whether Pakistanis expected the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.

A customer in Younas’ shop, Omar Chaudhry, is originally from Lahore, Pakistan. He has lived in the United States for 22 years. Chaudhry told WMNF his reaction to Bhutto’s assassination.

Chaudhry said he has already heard from friends in Pakistan about rioting in the wake of Bhutto’s assassination.

Shop owner Rana Younas said that typically about 20 percent of his customers are from Pakistan, and most of the rest are from India. But he speculated that there were virtually no Pakistani customers today because they were all at home watching television news. Nooruddin Bhalwani is a customer from India and he called Bhutto’s assassination 'wrong.'
