Last month the Washington Post reported on an FBI program to build a $1-billion database containing the biometric information of Americans. The FBI will also keep fingerprints of workers on file so that employers can be notified if employees are arrested.
But civil liberties advocates oppose such a biometric database. Last week, WMNF’s Seán Kinane spoke with Barry Steinhardt, director of the Technology and Liberty Program with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) about the FBI’s biometric database.
