"Guiliani Time" available on DVD
In todayâs editions of The New York Times, the paper endorsed Hillary Clinton in the Democratic race, and John McCain in the GOP contest.
In giving their support to McCain, which might actually hurt the Arizona Senator in the Primaries, given the low regard that some conservatives hold the Times in, the editorial said, âthe choice was an easy one, with Mccain being the only Republican who promises to end the George Bush style of governing from and on behalf of a small, angry fringeâ.
But the Times editorialists took their knives out in dissecting Rudy Guilianiâs tenure.
They wrote that the real Guiliani is a ânarrow, obsessively secretive, vindictive man who saw no need to limit police power. Racial polarization was as much a legacy of his tenure as the rebirth of Times Square.â
The editorial goes on to say that , âMr. Guilianiâs arrogance and bad judgement are breathtakingâ.
