Journalist: Clarence Thomas not afraid to differ
Since he came on the U.S. Supreme Court, Justice Clarence Thomas has been considered one of the most reliably conservative voices on the court, a voice that generally blindly follows his mentor, Justice Antonin Scalia.
But court observer Jan Crawford Greenburg writes in her book, Supreme Conflict: The Inside Story of the Struggle for Control of the U.S. Supreme Court it’s the other way around.
Greenberg, who covers the court for ABC News, writes that "far from being a Scalia lackey, the rookie jurist made clear to other justices that he was willing to be the solo dissenter.”
The book is just out in paperback. WMNF spoke with Jan Crawford Greenberg about Clarence Thomas.
Please tune in to the Evening News later this week for more of our interview with Jan Crawford Greenburg.comments powered by Disqus
