Iorio: Time for Democrats to pull together listen

Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio announced her endorsement of Barack Obama when he came to town late last month. Today, WMNF asked Iorio about her reaction to Obama earning enough delegates to clinch the Democratic nomination for president.

“Well, I think that’s a great milestone in American politics," Iorio said. "Now’s the time for all Democrats to gather together. … We’ve had two great candidates with great ideas for this country. And now’s the time for us to pull together, pull behind the nominee. The important thing is to win in November.”
