Unions protest McCain Fundraiser

John McCain was in St. Petersburg last night holding an upscale campaign fundraiser at the Vinoy. Just outside, the AFL-CIO and various anti-war groups protested the event.

Josh Hannijar is the Zone Coordinator for the Florida AFL-CIO. Hannijar, along with rank-and-file members, were there protesting John McCain’s economic policies.

Shortly after the anti-McCain protesters organized, a smaller group of McCain supporters joined the fray, holding identical John McCain sign. Jonathan Geary is a local McCain supporter.

None of the protesters got a look at McCain, who entered the event through a back entrance out of sight of the protestors.
