Over the past couple of weeks we’ve features interviews with the Democrats running for Congress in District 10. Last week, when we spoke with Samm Simpson, our interview consisted mainly of her rebutting criticism of essentially sleazy campaigning.

Those charges were made about her and fellow District 10 Democratic candidate Max Linn by state Rep. Rick Kriseman and the St. Petersburg Times editorial page about a couple of neighborhood meetings in the Azalea section of St. Petersburg regarding a toxic plume from nearby Raytheon.

Today, WMNF asks Samm Simpson about the issues, and why she should be the Democrat to run against Republican C.W. Bill Young in November.

Simpson is running against Max Linn and Bob Hackworth. The winner of the Aug. 26 primary will face Young in November.
