Radioactivity: Live Call-In (Thursday) | Listen to this entire show:

Good Afternoon, Welcome to Radioactivity on WMNF. I’m Rob Lorei. Coming up, a former soldier and a conservative Catholic who is a staunch critic of the Iraq War and the easy willingness of the U.S. to go to war since World War II.

But first two listener comments about yesterday’s program discussing labor issues with several local union activists.

Our guest today, Andrew Bacevich is a conservative; he graduated from West Point, served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and in Southeast Asia until 1992. He retired as a lieutenant colonel and is now a professor of history at Boston University. He’s written for conservative publications as well as liberal publications.

In his new book, The Limits of Power: The End of American Exceptionalsim, he says the nation’s involvement in what he calls endless wars has been a catastrophe for democracy.
