One hundred fifty mannequins wearing black T-shirts were aligned in rows in downtown Tampa’s Joe Chillura Courthouse Square this morning to recognize people suffering from ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Dara Alexander is president of the Florida chapter of the ALS Association. “ALS is a neuromuscular disease. … [In Florida,] 350 people, approximately, each year, diagnosed and die with ALS.”
