St Pete residents weigh in on mayor's race listen

St. Petersburg won’t choose its new mayor until November, but already the race has five serious contenders.

City Council member Jamie Bennett, former Council members Kathleen Ford and Bill Foster, businessman Scott Wagman, and Amscot executive Deveron Gibbons have all announced they are running.

This afternoon, WMNF asked members of the Suncoast Tiger Bay Club, a nonpartisan political organization, for their early thoughts on the race for St. Pete Mayor.

We spoke with Suncoast Tiger Bay Club members Marlis Meckler, Beverly Mitlan, Linda Osmundson (Executive Director of CASA – Community Action Stops Abuse), Cheryl MacNeill, Lois Carroll, and Mark MacNeill.
