WMNF Drive-Time News Monday | Listen to this entire show:

Kendrick Meek was in Tampa’s Ballast Point Park yesterday to gather signatures in his drive to qualify for the 2010 ballot.

One of his competitors in the race for the Democratic nomination for Senate is the very little known Kevin Burns, mayor of North Miami.

Burns was in Tampa this weekend to begin courting voters. He stopped by WMNF’s studios Saturday morning. We began by asking him how a little known mayor from South Florida thinks he can be the Democratic nominee next year.

Part two of our interview with Burns tomorrow night on the Evening News.
