North Miami Mayor Kevin Burns says he is the first openly elected gay official to run for statewide office in the country. Burns, along with Congressman Kendrick Meek and Sen. Dan Gelber, are the announced candidates for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate next year.

WMNF spoke with Mayor Burns last Saturday morning. In the third and final part of our interview with him, we asked him his thoughts on same-sex marriage.
