Today on Radioactivity we'll meet staffers from the Hillsborough Victim's Assistance Program.
The County Commission's budget plan proposes cutting more than $140 million in county spending from this year's $1.1 billion operating budget and furlough more than 1,100 employees.
Among the programs facing drastic cuts are the Victim's Assistance Program. It could be phased out under the plan now being considered. We're joined by three staffers from the program: Patricia Pupello, Stella Carabine and Joe Lopez.
Tomorrow's public hearing on Hillsborough County's 2010 budget has been moved to a new location.
Yesterday county officials announced the meeting will take place at All Peoples Life Center, 6105 E. Sligh Ave., at 6 p.m tomorrow (Thursday).
