This morning filmmaker Michael Moore hosted a press conference in Washington, D.C. asking President Barack Obama and the Congress to support single-payer universal health insurance.
Moore told a story of how an employee from an insurance company called him after the film Sicko came out, because of how the company was treating a customer who was seeking treatment for PTSD after being raped.
Also speaking at the press conference, which was broadcast via teleconference, were representatives from the California Nurses Association, Consumer Watchdog, United Steelworkers, and Terry O'Neill, president of the National Organization for Women.
