Florida’s lame duck Governor, Charlie Crist, released two new radio ads for his Senate campaign on Friday. In them he criticizes President Barack Obama’s propensity toward spending.

The trouble is, Crist appeared on stage with Obama in Ft. Myers in February rallying support for the President’s nearly $800 billion dollar federal economic stimulus program known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

The St. Petersburg Times quoted Crist as saying “We know that it's important that we pass a stimulus package … This is not about partisan politics. This is about rising above that, helping America and reigniting our economy.”

Many conservatives in his party have criticized Crist for his support of the stimulus bill, and are supporting his primary opponent, former House Speaker Marco Rubio.
