Adele Stan, Washington Bureau Chief of Alternet, talked about turmoil in the health care debate. She particularly talked about the Stupak Amendment which, if it holds, would likely kill abortion coverage in nearly all health insurance plans, whether purchased through the exchanges or not even if the coverage was totally paid for by the individual.

Was this a power play to derail any health care reform? Did the influence of Catholic bishops cross the line of separation between church and state?
