Historian Howard Zinn dies of heart attack at 87

Noted historian Howard Zinn passed away yesterday. He died of a heart attack in California at age 87. Zinn is best known for his book A People’s History of the United States. Zinn’s last public appearance in Tampa was in 2004, shortly after George W. Bush defeated John Kerry in the Presidential race. He appeared at the University of South Florida’s main campus in Tampa.
