Higginbotham weighs in on calls for Bean's resignation

Hillsborough County Administrator Pat Bean has admitted to receiving emails about an open investigation, but not to reading them. In response, Some Commissioners are calling for the resignations of Bean and two other top County administrators, County Attorney Renee Lee and Jim Barnes, the Internal Performance Auditor.

Commissioner Al Higginbotham, who is out of town, has asked that a meeting on the subject be moved until next week.

Tomorrow the Commission will consider whether to ask for the resignations of three top administrators. We will bring you full coverage of the meeting.

DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER

Why in the world is Hagan wanting Jim Barnes' resignation? Barnes is the one who brought the BEAN LEE EMAILGATE to light! Without him, we would not even KNOW about it. So why target him along with them? I don't get it...unless...they don't want someone around who will get the goods on the key people? Blow the whistle on the "good ole gals"? They should be thanking Barnes, not calling for him to resign along with the crooks he exposed!
