GREG PALAST ON FELON PURGE PART 2-Andrew Stelzer

05/28/04

Greg Palast, BBC journalist and the author of the best-seller “the best democracy money can buy, has republished his book with updates for the 2004 election. In his book Palast talks about how black voters in Florida have been kept off the voting rolls by republican government officials, because of racism and the fact that black voters tend to vote democratic. In the second of a two part interview conducted Wednesday, Palast told WMNF that some elections supervisors are resisting governor Jeb Bushs orders to once again purge the voting rolls of all convicted felons, because they feel the list sent to them by the governor is not accurate.
