A Tale Of Two Movements: The Poor People's Movement and the Tea Party
Good afternoon, welcome to WMNF's Radioactivity program. I'm Rob Lorei. Coming up today we'll hear from two different political movements- the Tea Party protesters and a movement of low and moderate income people. First up we'll hear from Cheri Honkala who is the National Coordinator for the poor [People's Economic Human Rights] Campaign (http://www.economichumanrights.org). She's taking part in a march from New Orleans to Detroit. Honkala will be in St. Petersburg beginning Thursday (FMI 727-278-1547).
Later we'll hear the voices of participants in last Thursday's Tea Party protest in DC and from a gun rights protest that took place yesterday across the Potomac from the Captitol.
