INTRO: Memorial day, originally called Decoration Day,is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nations service. Amidst thousands of mini American flags decorating servicemen’s graves and fluttering in the breeze, WMNF’s Mark Antokas has this from Meadolawn Memorial Gardens, Pasco County’s largest Memorial Day Service. SCRIPT: Never in this Nations history has any president sent this country’s armed forces out in order to fight a “Preventive War�. Until now. This past weekend, at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens in New Port Richey about five hundred people, most were elderly, disabled, respectfull and dignified, assembled to pay respect to this nations war dead. WMNF gathered voices on the meaning of war and this country’s responsibility in Iraq. Anselmo Gerard, Viet Nam Vet. Roll Tape:

C.T. Dagle, USMC Major Retired, WW2, Korea, Vietnam says he will not be voting for George W Bush in November. Roll Tape:

John DeBach, Viet Nam, feels that the war against Terror must be taken to “Them� DeBach will be voting for GWB in November. Roll Tape:

Fred Harrup, Viet Nam and the first Gulf War is the Director of Veteran Services in Pasco County. He says that every day in Iraq finds us with more and more veterans. Roll Tape:

Gino, who did not want to be identified further, WW2, Korea, VietNam is not sure who he will vote for. Roll Tape:

Senator Mike Fasano, Republican, New Port Richey indicated to WMNF that he will be voting for GWB in November. Roll Tape:

Dorothy Radke, visably shaken by the days events, had a son killed in VietNam. Roll Tape:
