TOXIC WASTE DUMPED AT THE HONEYWELL PLANT NEAR HIMES AND WATERS AVENUE IN TAMPA - Radioactivity05/27/04
David Simon's family leased property to Honeywell for about twenty years from 1964-1984. The land was used for a military project to build circuit boards. Toxic waste from the operation was repeatedly spilled on the land, but the property owner and nearby residents were kept in the dark. The 17 acre area is now fenced off with signs warning people to stay away from the contaminated area. Now the property owner is calling on Honeywell to clean-up the mess. There will be a public meeting at the Egypt Lake Elementary School this coming Wednesday, June 2nd from 4 to 9PM.
