Coming up an interview with Congressman Kendrick Meek -- one of the Democrats who is running for his party’s nomination for the open US senate seat in Florida. But first a listener comment about yesterday’s interview with the chair of the Florida Public Service Commission- Nancy Argenziano. Argenziano says that the giant utility companies have too much influence over who gets to serve on the PSC. Here’s what one listener had to say.

Our next guest is Congressman Kendrick Meek from South Florida. He’s served in Congress since 2003 and he’s one of three Democrats vying for the US Senate seat that is open this year. He’s the son of former Congresswoman Carrie Meek. He’s on the August 24th Democratic primary ballot.
