Do you assume the Mexican legal system was essentially similar to the US system of justice? We'll watch the documentary Presumed Guilty and find out the true nature of Mexican justice.

Layda Negrete and her husband Roberto Hernandez, who call themselves Lawyers with Cameras, follow the case of Antonio Zuniga, who was found guilty of homicide and sentenced to 20 years in prison. Antonio was accused of shooting a man that he neither knew and had never seen, though he was working the entire day miles away from the crime. This documentary is both revelatory about the nature of justice in Mexico and a 'cliff-hanger" at the same time.

Presumed Guilty is part of the pov series which will be aired Tuesday, July 27 at 11 pm on WEDU.
