Today Gov. Charlie Crist reacted to the news of the federal emergency school and medicaid package by way of statement noting he was grateful for and encouraged by the passage of the bill.
But in St. Petersburg last Thursday, WMNF asked the governor if he hoped the bill would clear the House.
"I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see," Crist said.
Last year Crist came under fire from the GOP for accepting federal stimulus dollars. The ex-Republican has in recent months been free from party ties, but faces a tightrope walk when it comes to wooing voters amid his US Senate campaign.

disconnectMaybe this shows the disconnect between a Florida governor and the Florida legislature. I'm not sure if any of this money is headed to Florida, but I do remember how the GOP has sacrificed services in order to balance their tax cuts.
