On the first part of today’s program, an interview with State Senator Mike Fasano. It’s a new era in Tallahassee. Republicans have for twelve years controlled the governorship and the legislature. But now they have all the cabinet seats and a veto-proof majority in the Florida Legislature.

Mike Fasano is a Republican, he’s served in the legislature for the past 16 years. Since 2002 he’s been a member of the Florida Senate. He strongly supported Governor Charlie Crist’s campaign for US Senate. That’s why some in Tallahassee are calling him a maverick. He’s also a critic of utility companies, privatization of Medicaid and he wants an investigation of the Taj Mahal Courthouse in Tallahassee.
