DENNIS CADLE, REP. CANDIDATE FOR HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY COMMISSION - Mitch Perry
Last week, the Hillsborough County Commission narrowly voted down a proposal that would have raised the minimum wage for all Hillsborough County employees to $9.97 an hour. That Living Wage would also work for workers for certain private companies holding contracts with the County or receiving tax abatements and subsidies.
In voting against the measure, Commissioner Ronda Storms said this:

That comment has sparked anger in some quarters.
In yesterday's Tampa Tribune, a reader wrote: While I agree with her opposition, I can't agree with her rationale for that opposition. It is these thoughtless and insensitive remarks that are clearly directed at the working poor and disadvantaged. "
The author of that letter was Brandon resident Dennis Cadle, who happens to be running against Ronda Storms in her District 4 seat. WMNF spoke with Cadle today about Commissioner Storms' comment, and why he should succeed her in office.

That's Dennis Cadle, Republican running for the Hillsborough County Commission Seat, District 4....WMNF today contacted the offices of both Commissioner Ronda Storms and the other Republican in the August 31st Primary, James Tagliarini, about appearing on the program. We hope to have both of those candidates on the air.comments powered by Disqus
