Some Tampa Bay area organizations are coming together to sound one very loud voice in opposition to this evening’s Republican debate. Groups such as Awake the State will protest along the Highway 301 side of the Florida State Fairgrounds, waving signs and calling out to potential voters to oppose many tea party and right wing ideas. Bruce Wright, one of the protest’s organizers, said the Republicans need to start putting people over profits.
According to the protest’s Facebook page, 66 people will attend, but more are expected. It begins at 5 p.m.; the debate starts at 8.
