Al Fox on new Tampa DUI rules and Perry Thurston on Rick Scott's perceived lack of concern regarding state's unemployment website
In the wake of scandal inside the Tampa Police Department's DUI squad, a task force released a report with recommendations. WMNF spoke with Cuban activist Al Fox for his opinion. Fox is suing the TPD after he was detained for a DUI, despite the fact that his blood-alcohol content registered at 0.000.
Later in the program we were joined by Perry Thurston, Jr. He's the House Minority Leader in the Florida House of Representatives. He's also running for the Democratic nomination for Attorney General.
Thurston blasted Governor Rick Scott for the failures with the state's unemployment website. Some people had not received benefits owed them since October until the federal government intervened last weekend.comments powered by Disqus
