Lawyers for Occupy Tampa members say a ruling by a Hillsborough County Circuit judge yesterday could lead to Tampa Police no longer arresting people for placing items upon a public sidewalk. It stems from the first six arrests of Occupy Tampa members who were lying or sitting on the sidewalk in front of downtown’s Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park the morning of October 21. Marc Plotnick and Paul Horning are representing several Occupy Tampa members pro bono.

The attorneys also are challenging trespassing arrests in city parks at night and we’ll hear about that on Wednesday’s newscast.
