Radioactivity: Live Call-In (Thursday) | Listen to this entire show:

Good morning, welcome to Radioactivity. I'm Rob Lorei. We had originally intended to have one of the Haitian presidential candidates on this program. Unfortunately his plane is arriving late in Tampa so we'll hear about some other issues.

We'll hear an interview that Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders gave to the PBS Newshour on President Obama's budget proposal.

We'll hear the first half of that crank call by a Buffalo blogger to the Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker

Later we'll talk with two of the participants at an event this Saturday at noon at the Unitarian Church in north Tampa. It's A Wake Up Call For Civil Liberties. More information: 813-215-3403.

Our guests will be Sharmin Sadequee whose brother is serving a long prison sentence for translating documents from Arabic to English. Sharmin says her brother engaged in no violent activity.

Our other guest will be the former president of the National Lawyer's Guild, Peter Erlinder who is a law professor at William Mitchell College of Law.

Walks like a duck… talks like a duck…

I remember Ehsanul Sadequee… he was charged with four counts of supporting terrorists and a foreign terrorist organization… not for translating documents from Arabic to English. Let’s see now… those vacation pictures from Washington DC of the Whitehouse and Pentagon his sister was talking about… were sent to a guy named Younis Tsouli… aka “Irhabi007” (“Terrorist 007”) an al Qaeda webmaster, recruiter and propagandist… and also sent to Aabid Khan the facilitator for two Pakistan-based terrorist groups. Both Tsouli and Khan have been convicted of terror charges in England. While Sadequee was “getting married” in Bangladesh… he was running around with a Swedish guy named Mirsad Bektasevic who formed a jihadist organization known as “Al Qaeda in Northern Europe.” A few days later Bektasevic was arrested in Sarajevo armed to the teeth where he was convicted of terrorism. Preemptive??? Definitely!!! Civil Rights abuse??? Possibly… but can you hide behind the Constitution while you’re trying to destroy it???

Hi Glenn, Here's a more objective description of t

U.S. terror suspect who represented self in court says it's 'not as easy as Law & Order' THE ASSOCIATED PRESS Thursday, August 13th 2009, 10:06 AM Related News * Articles * Extremist militias see resurgence under Obama's tenure * Ex-Clinton aide in prison smuggling * Scotland denies decision to free ill Lockerbie bomber ATLANTA - A 23-year-old Georgia man was convicted Wednesday of aiding terrorist groups by sending videotapes of U.S. landmarks overseas and plotting to support "violent jihad" after a federal jury rejected his arguments that it was empty talk. The jury found Ehsanul Islam Sadequee guilty of all four charges he faced after about five hours of deliberations. The charges carry a maximum penalty of 60 years in prison and his sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 15. Authorities say Sadequee never posed an imminent threat to the U.S, but he took concrete steps to bolster terrorists when he sent the videos overseas and tried to aid a Pakistani-based terror group while on a trip to Bangladesh. Sadequee, who stared silently as the verdict was read, is the second Georgia terror suspect to be convicted in the last two months. A judge convicted Sadequee's friend, Syed Haris Ahmed, in June on one count of conspiring to support terrorism in the U.S. and abroad. Sadequee's relatives, who regularly packed the courtroom during the weeklong trial, said the conviction was an example of overzealous prosecution in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terror attacks. Sadequee's sister Sonali said she was "absolutely disappointed" by the jury's decision. "What's most frustrating to see that the post-Sept. 11 climate, even though Obama has communicated there's going to be a shift, it hasn't really gone down to the general understanding of the community and social attitudes," she said. But federal authorities say it was a reminder that those who actively seek to aid terror groups may be lurking within the U.S. They said they had little choice but to snuff out a potential plot before it came to fruition. "We can wait until something happens, or gets close to happening," U.S. Attorney David Nahmias said. "But I think we all learned on Sept. 11, 2001, not to do that." Sadequee, who represented himself at trial, dismissed his online discussions about jihad as boastful chatter from a group of young men "who type faster than they think." He said he never considered following through on it. "We were immature young guys who had imaginations running wild," Sadequee told jurors in his closing arguments Tuesday. "But I was not then, and am not now, a terrorist." Prosecutors, however, depicted Sadequee as a dangerous terrorist wannabe who needed to be stopped before he took action. Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert McBurney said authorities had "overwhelming" evidence that Sadequee took concrete steps to aid terror organizations. Read more:

Thanks for Part 2 of the story...

I knew there was more to it than what met the ear...

One thing about Rob Lorei ...

You must remember that Rob Lorei is one of if not the most credulous fools in local media. He has a wonderfully softboiled progressive brain that any fraud can penetrate as long as that fraud uses lefty pretenses.

Were you present at Sadquee's Trial ?

According to the trial transcripts posted in, and I am assuming these are transcripts obtained from the federal court, it does NOT appear that Ehsanul Sadequee was running around with any Swedish guy or that he ever met anyone from Sweden, it also does NOT appear that he or any of his online chatters were discussing to attack any buildings or cities, it also does NOT state in the trial transcripts that any of Ehsanul Sadequee was planning for plotting to attack anyone. Where did you, Mr. Glen, obtain your information? From authentic court transcripts or highly credible news media?

Did I ohhhfend???

I got my information from some ultra-radical rightwing website with absolutely no credibility… you should check it out!!! and
