Ceceilia Peck, the director of Brave Miss World, talks about Linor Abargil who won the Miss World award in 1998 two weeks after she was brutally raped. The documentary follows Linor's speaking out and campaigning to get other rape victims to speak out and talk about their experiences. Linor started a web sight Linorspeaksout.com and almost immediately heard from women throughout the world. The film follows Linor as she speaks to women and girls and is a horrifying testimony to the extent of violence, especially in the form of rape, throughout the world. Brave Miss World is part of the Through Women's Eyes film festival which is part of the Sarasota film festival. Through women's eyes is two days of documentaries on April 7 and April 8.
