Very special and enlightening. Powerful extremely well told (an) important contribution to social healing. Thats what audiences say about the series. Decades of Day Work IV features the story of Dr. Haleys grandmother, who was for most of her life, a maid. It also shares the stories of Alonza Wade, a local retired war veteran, whose mother lived-in but couldnt be on Miami Beach in the 1940s, ninety two-year-old Idessa Driver, whose mother threatened to quit and forced her depression-era boss to reconsider cutting her meager wages, and Elaine T. Woodward, who shared a 40-year sisterhood with her maid.
Mary will talk with Dr. My Haley and Lillian Dunlap, Ph.D. Administrative Director, Your Real Stories, Inc., Co-Director, Decades of Day Work IV.
Tickets are available by calling (727) 498-5205; online at www.freefalltheatre.com; or in person at 6099 Central Avenue in St. Petersburg, FL.
