Dr. Carol Paris, a member of the Physicians for a National Health Program and a practicing physician, talks of the difficulties to her of practicing medicine under the present medical systems. She discusses the difficulty of limiting the time she can afford to spend with patients and the difficulties her patients are having with job and benefit losses. Paris has decided she can no longer give the standard of care she thinks appropriate for her patients and so she is closing her practice in Maryland and is accepting a position in New Zealand. Paris has practiced for ten years in her present office in Maryland and has been practicing for over 20 years in the USA. She expressed regret but felt the move necessary for her.
