Ellen the author of the Web of Debt discusses the Detroit bankruptcy

08/15/13 Ellen Brown talks with Mary Glenney
From A Woman's Point of View | Listen to this entire show:

Ellen Brown is an attorney, president of the Public Banking Institute, and an author of twelve books, including the Web of Debt and its 2013 sequel The Public Bank Solution. Ellen compares the conditions to that of Cyprus. Cyprus was not "bailed out" rather it was "bailed-in" which meant that to monetize the banks, people were the bearers of the financial burden. Ellen discusses the conditions that caused the Detroit financial crisis and how she sees the bail in template in Detroit as" fleecing pensioners to save the banks".
