Today on Radioactivity, Rob Lorei speaks with Annie-Rose Strasser, the Deputy Managing Editor for ThinkProgress.org about Mcdonald's new initiative to help its low wage workers budget the money they earn at the fast food giant. The actual budget is an eye opener because it underscores just how hard it is for an adult to make it on $8.25 an hour. Strasser has recently written an article about this issue that you can read here.

Rob also speaks with conservationist Terri Wonder from Bay Life Preservers about the battle that is brewing in Sarasota between conservationists and developers who want to build over a natural area on the western shores of Manatee County. People in the Bradenton-Sarasota area will stage a boat brigade in opposition to the development. You can learn more about the brigade here and for more information on Bay Life Preservers checkout their Facebook page.
