Radioactivity: Live Call-In (Friday) | Listen to this entire show:
Today Radioactivity explores how Florida Legislators have introduced Senate Bill 456 and House Bill 385. If passed, these bills would eliminate the tip credit and raise the minimum wage to $10.10 for tipped and non-tipped employees.
Florida’s minimum wage for tipped workers is currently $4.91 - these workers are employed mostly by the restaurant industry and do not receive stable pay. They are forced to live off tips.
Rob Lorei interviews ROC-Miami's Research & Policy Coordinator, Jean Souffrant and their Lead Coordinator, Yaneth Lombana.
