Today on Radioactivity, Rob Lorei speaks with activists who want the "stand your ground" law repealed. A group of 100 youth activists- called the Dream Defenders began a sit-in yesterday in the Florida state capital. They are angry at the outcome in the trial of the man who killed Trayvon Martin. The Dream Defenders are a diverse group of young adults who practice non-violent activism. Just after 7:30 this morning Rob spoke with one of their members, Steve Pargett who along with other members of the group slept on the floor of the state capital last night .
He also talks to a state legislator Dwight Dudley on Floridaâ€™s controversial â€œstand your groundâ€ law. Later, Rob explores how the rest of the country views Florida now that the Zimmerman trial is over and plays a piece from the video below.
