Professor Rachel VanLandingham is a visiting professor of law at Stetson University College of Law. She is an expert in international law and national security law and recently retired after 20 years of active duty in the Air Force. As a Judge Advocate, Professor VanLandingham was Chief of International Law here in Tampa at U.S. Central Command for four years. She worked legal and policy issues related to detention and interrogation in Iraq and Afghanistan, traveling on several occasions to both countries. She was the lead U.S. Central Command Liaison to the International Committee of the Red Cross while at U.S. Central Command.
