Today the Israeli military says its commandos have taken control of a French ship that was part of the Freedom Flotilla 2 on its way to the Gaza Strip. But individuals in the Free Gaza Movement say the ship was in International waters and should not have been interfered with by Israel. Huwaida Arraf is with the Free Gaza Movement, one of the organizers of the Freedom Flotilla.

After this interview, the Israeli website YNetNews.com reported the Navy commandos escorted the French ship into the Ashdod Port and that “no weapons or humanitarian equipment were found on the ship.” The activists were bound for Gaza and did not intend to enter Israel. But YNet reports “The Population, Immigration and Borders Authority said that the foreign activists onboard the ship are effectively entering Israel illegally. They will face a hearing, deportation and automatic removal from the country for a period of 10 years.”
