This week saw a spotlight turned on a deal between FSU and Charles Koch that gives the billionaire conservative control over the hiring and firing of two university professors in exchange for a $1.5 million donation to the FSU Economics Department.
Today we spoke with North Carolina State University Professor Cat Warren about the dangers to academic integrity posed by such deals. Warren is also editor of Academe, a magazine dealing with issues in higher education published by the American Association of University Professors (AAUP).
