Today on Radioactivity. We examine what the consequences of a limited nuclear war if it broke out in the Middle East or South Asia? A new study shows there would be devastating consequences worldwide and not just in the region where the bombs were exchanged. Rob Lorei speaks with Dr. Ira Helfand, a physician from Northampton, Massachusetts who wrote the study for the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War and Physicians for Social Responsibility.
The show also talks about a report this week the Tampa Bay Times and Miami Herald have reported on about the job promises made by Governor Rick Scott. When he came into office the Governor promised to help create an additional 700,000 jobs over seven years- beyond what the state economy was expected to make as the country came out of the recession. The Governor has been crisscrossing the state- holding ribbon cutting ceremonies announcing that companies were moving here or expanding and that they were creating new jobs. Steve Bousquet the Tallahassee Bureau Chief of the Tampa Bay Times wrote about the job announcements for the newspaper this past Sunday and speaks with Rob Lorei about his findings.
