Immigration reform dead for 2013?
GOP members of the House of Representatives have been emphasizing that they do want to pass a bill on immigration reform, but the key word is "piecemeal," as in smaller bills, and not the big comprehensive bill passed by the Senate.
Juan Sousa-Rodriguez with the Florida Immigrant Coalition was our guest. His group has been fighting throughout the year on getting a bill passed this year. He tells WMNF that he isn't discouraged by the talk in the House, and will continue to advocate for a comprehensive bill, targeting local GOP Congressmen Bill Young, Gus Bilirakis, Vern Buchanan and Dennis Ross.comments powered by Disqus
