Ina May Gaskin excerpts from the Right Livelihood Award in 201105/16/13 Ina May Gaskin
From A Woman's Point of View | Listen to this entire show:
Ina May Gaskin, pioneering midwife, was awarded the Right Livelihood Award in 2011 (Many call the Right Livelihood Awards the alternative Nobel Prize.) She is the first midwife to receive the award. In accepting the award, Ina discusses the lack of confidence in women's ability to birth children without medical and too often surgical intervention. Ina is the only midwife for which an obstetrical procedure is named. Listen to excerpts from her speech by clicking the link above.
