Early last month one of our listeners Simon from Lakeland, suggested our next guest should discuss the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We spend a lot of time talking about the issue on WMNF because the tension it has caused on foreign policy for the US for more than 40 years- ever since the oil embargo of 1973.

Today on Radioactivity, Rob Lorei interviews Professor Mordechai Kedar, director of the Center for the study of Middle East and Islam, research associate of the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies and lecturer in the Department of Arabic at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. He is one of Israel's leading figures in understanding the Arab world and he is the Middle East analyst for the daily newspaper "Major Rishon".

Professor Mordechai Kedar will speaking tonight:

7 pm at Magnolia Building in Lakeland

702 E Orange St, Lakeland, FL 33801

(863) 510 -5968

The Professor will never win an "How to win friends and influence people" contest. May do better in a"condescension and abrasiveness" competition. Difficult for me to focus on his points because of the manner in which they delivered.

Rob, Thank you for having professor Kedar on your show. Although his voice was rather gruff, I thought he made some excellent points. Throughout the interview, it sounded as if he was on one of the Arab stations that he referenced which used him as a "punching bag". However, his responses were factual and shed a lot of light on how the media propagandizes the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Hopefully, some of the listeners accepted and learned from his truths.

Good interview, Rob! I thought the white phosphorus argument was weak though... oh, we just use white phosphorus to light up the sky! You can just move away from the burning pieces raining down on you like napalm! Right! The best lame excuse since Clinton's "I did not have sexual relations with that woman."
