Karl Rove's Kingdom of Power; and Enterprise Florida: Not Living Up To Promises?09/13/12 Robert Lorei
Radioactivity: Live Call-In (Thursday) | Listen to this entire show:
Good morning, welcome to Radioactivity. I'm Rob Lorei. First up today: After four years in the political wilderness box, longtime political operative Karl Rove has returned as the chief mastermind of the G.O.P.’s electoral effort. Author Craig Unger has just published a new book, Boss Rove: Inside Karl Rove’s Secret Kingdom of Power, that focuses on Rove’s fall from grace during the Valerie Plame scandal and his remarkable political resurrection. It shows how Rove’s out-of-the-spotlight tactics are changing American politics and how he intends to make the Republicans the controlling party in the U.S. for years to come.
Later we'll talk with the executive director of Integrity Florida, Dan Krassner. A secretive state agency is meeting right now in St. Petersburg Beach. The agency is Enterprise Florida. And the government watchdog group Integrity Florida says Enterprise Florida is not living up to its charge to "create jobs and economic health for Floridians". I spoke with Dan Krassner of Integrity Florida, which is a group that fights public corruption about Enterprise Florida's record.
