Last Call Tuesday | Listen to this entire show:
Happy International Women's Day!
Thousands of people from across the state took to the streets today to "Awake the State" in protest of Governor Scott's proposed budget cuts to education, healthcare and worker's pensions as the 2011 legislative session opened in Tallahassee. On today's Last Call we spoke live with democratic activist Pat Kemp from the protest held at Lykes Gaslight Square in downtown Tampa.
We also heard from Stephanie Kunkel, Director of the Florida Association of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, which lobbies in Tallahassee for women's reproductive rights. The start of the 2011 legislative session brings with it no less than 18 anti-choice bills.
