Today we'll talk with three local activists who are organizing a meeting tonight in Tampa to discuss Move To Amend. That's an effort to try to use the Constitution to rollback the Citizen's United decision by the US Supreme Court. The decision opened to floodgates to unlimited special interest money to influence elections. Most of the money flooding into political campaigns in the wake of the Citizen's decision is coming from corporations. Our guests are Anita Stewart, Mark Adams, and Kindra Muntz. They are holding the meeting tonight at Sacred Grounds on Busch Blvd. in Tampa at 7 p.m.
We'll also hear an interview on this program with Michael Filler of the Teamster's union which has just filed a complaint against Governor Rick Scott over the fact that private corrections corporations that have contributed to the Governor's campaign just won contracts to privatize part of the state's prison system.
