05/30/13 Medea Benjamin with Mary Glenney
From A Woman's Point of View | Listen to this entire show:

Medea Benjamin, the co-founder of Code Pink, discusses why she interrupted the President's speech at the National Defense University. Medea is the author of DRONE WARFARE; KILLING BY REMOTE CONTROL. Medea referred to by the President in the speech as "that woman" responded to the criticisms that she was rude to the President. "Speaking out isn't rude...terrorizing villages with Hellfire Missiles that vaporize innocent people is rude. Violating the sovereignty of nations like Pakistan is rude. Keeping 86 prisoners in Guantanamo long after they have been cleared for release is rude." For more information go to www.codepink.org or go to the Common Dreams website on Friday, May 24 and read her article titled "Why I spoke Out at Obama's Foreign Policy Speech"
