WMNF Drive-Time News Friday | Listen to this entire show:

To many, the American Dream seems like a quaint concept. As the economy drags along, and the political sphere zeroes in on 2012, progressives are trying to redefine the American Dream. Tomorrow, a group backed by Moveon.org is hosting events in hundreds of spots throughout the country to help build what it calls the Contract for the American Dream. WMNF caught up with Aaron Dietrich, a local organizer for one of tomorrow’s Tampa Bay contract events. He said the group is using similar tactics that worked very well for a movement on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Dietrich will be hosting one tomorrow from four to six pm at St. Petersburg’s Maximo Park.

More like the American Nightmare...

And what can you expect to hear at these “meetings”??? According to Moveon.org American Dream Civic Action you’ll be told… “We know we have the resources to create good jobs for millions of Americans if all of us pay our fair share in taxes. The problem is that millionaires and big corporations aren't—that's why we're creating a powerful agenda to rebuild the American Dream. We'll use the agenda to push Congress to make the American Dream a reality for all of us, not just corporations and the rich…” Dude… you don’t have to go to a “patio party” to hear folks gripe about the rich and preachin about raisin taxes… just turn on the news!!!

CUT TAXES NOW!

If the American dream is only a quaint concept, why are illegal aliens swarming over our country to the point that they have outnumbered "us" and diluted our culture? America is still the best bet for everyone. NO NEW TAXES!
